Stephanie Dawn Matthias is a Los Angeles-based ceramicist known for her small batch, luxury ceramics. Inspired by European culture and folk art, her handmade and hand-painted pieces evoke the past while also fitting perfectly in contemporary spaces. Stephanie’s journey embodies nature's influence, artistic ingenuity, and unwavering resilience.

Stephanie, along with her three younger sisters, was raised in Los Angeles by her German father and Australian mother. She and her family often traveled to Europe in the summer to visit family and friends and it was during those trips that Stephanie’s aesthetic sensibilities, love of design and appreciation for handmade objects blossomed. To this day, Europe’s lakeside towns and mountains are a source of solace and inspiration.

In 2022 Stephanie founded Stephanie Dawn Matthias and returned to her first love- ceramics. Through her work, she seeks to make the world more beautiful, inspire others, and bring joy into people’s homes.
