Chateau Perigord Large Platter
This little collection of hand-painted lemon pieces was inspired by my mom. In the early days of their marriage, my parents lived in Monte Carlo in a building called Chateau Perigord. Their kitchen had a view of the ocean and green cabinets which were insured by trips to Italy. When they moved to LA to start a family, she hand-painted lemons on some tiles to remind her of her kitchen in monte carlo and all of the Italian ceramics that she loved so much. The hand-painted lemon tiles were part of the backsplash for the stove in my childhood home. These pieces remind me of that kitchen and also of al fresco dinners we did on the terrace all summer. My mom always set a beautiful table and there were often yellows and greens and lemon prints involved.
This hand-made and hand-painted dish is food safe. Hand washing is recommended. It measures 14” x 7.25.”
